Nepal’s star leg-spinner Sandeep Lamichhane is back in charge of the national ODI side, returning to the captaincy after a four-year gap.
The Nepal Cricket Association (CAN) has handed Sandeep the leadership role as Nepal looks to rebuild momentum in its upcoming international fixtures.
Sandeep previously captained Nepal in 2021. His return now marks another major chapter in his international career, combining his experience as a key bowler with the responsibility of leading the team.
The timing is significant for Nepal, with the team facing important matches ahead and needing strong results to keep its international ambitions on track.
Known for his success in franchise cricket around the world, Sandeep remains one of Nepal’s most accomplished international cricketers. He has also established himself as one of the country’s leading wicket-takers in both ODI and T20I cricket.
Now, the challenge is bigger: lead Nepal, deliver results, and help take Nepali cricket forward.
