Cricket Chautari covers Nepal cricket: the national teams, the Nepal Premier League and domestic competitions. This page explains where our information comes from, how we check and date it, how to report a mistake, and where we use automation.
Domestic and NPL figures are imported from the Cricket Association of Nepal's published scorecards and stat sheets into our statistics database. Every row is checked when it is imported: figures that contradict each other are rejected, and figures that look wrong are flagged for review rather than silently changed.
Strike rates, averages and economy rates are recalculated from the raw counts (runs, balls, innings, wickets) rather than copied, and career and season totals add up the raw counts before any rate is worked out. A figure the source sheet did not record is shown as a dash, never as zero.
NPL fixtures, squads, finals and records that are not in the scorecards are taken from official announcements and established cricket publications. Each NPL page lists those sources and the date the facts were last checked.
We report a player signing, a squad change or an appointment once it is officially announced or confirmed by more than one independent report. Where reports disagree, we leave the detail out until it is confirmed rather than guess.
Articles show when they were published and, when they have been changed since, when they were last updated. Statistics pages refresh automatically after each new scorecard is imported, and NPL pages show the date their fixtures and squads were last checked.
If you find a mistake, email hello@cricketchautari.com with the page link and, if you can, a source for the correct information. Every page with articles or statistics also has a “Report an error” link that fills this in for you.
We check every report. When we get something wrong we fix the page, and when an article's meaning changes we add a note saying what was corrected.
