KATHMANDU — Nepal will welcome Bangladesh for a three-match cricket series at the TU International Cricket Ground in March 2027, bringing the Rhinos and Tigers together for a special contest in front of Nepali supporters. According to the announcement, the matches are scheduled for March 26, 28 and 30, 2027 at Nepal cricket’s traditional home ground. The series will carry meaning beyond the action on the field. Organisers have dedicated the Nepal-Bangladesh series to the memory of those who lost their lives in the recent devastating floods in Nepal. The initiative is intended to highlight solidarity, compassion and friendship between Nepal and Bangladesh, two neighbouring South Asian nations with strong sporting and people-to-people ties. Former Nepal captain and Cricket Association of Nepal official Paras Khadka shared the announcement with the message, “Rhinos Vs Tigers at the home of Nepal cricket.” He also thanked the Bangladesh Cricket Board for joining hands with Nepal in making the series a symbol of friendship, remembrance and solidarity. For Nepal supporters, the series will also provide another opportunity to watch the national team compete against a major Test-playing nation on home soil. Bangladesh have long been one of Asia’s established international teams, while Nepal’s rise in international cricket has brought growing attention to matches played at the TU Cricket Ground. With three fixtures scheduled across five days, the March series is expected to attract strong interest from cricket fans in Nepal. Further details regarding the match format, squads, ticketing and match timings are expected to be announced closer to the series.
